Stayed here for one night, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it's only about a 15-20 minute walk into the centre. We were out till late and the area it is in feels very safe to walk back to at night. The room is where I felt I was let down. It is a very small room with no drawers or anywhere to put your stuff apart from on the limited floor space. The bed was rock solid, the mattress was thin and hard and the duvet was very thin as well as there being rips in the linen. The bathroom was clean but there was hardly any toilet paper. Overall it was fine for an overnight stay if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay near the city centre.
Stayed here a couple months ago during my stay in Glasgow. This was probably my second least favorite place I stayed at, but mostly because the bathrooms could have been cleaner and they really should have at least a refrigerator at this place. They have a mini fridge behind the desk, and they were kind enough to offer it to me to store a small box of rice. I said I’d retrieve it right away in the morning, but when I came down to get it, the fridge was stocked front to back with Red Bull and they had thrown away my rice. Thanks for wasting my money, I guess.
Atmosphere kind of sucked too, but if you’re just staying for the sake of having a place to sleep, I suppose that doesn’t really matter. The best thing about it is the location and the fact that there were bed curtains. Definitely wouldn’t come back if I could avoid it, though.
Unfortunately I have to make a bad review, sorry.
Got the room next to the reception, couldn't sleep as staff at reception was talking loudly the guest throughout the night.
Pillow and mattress very thin. Not comfortable. Room was spacious and clean, toilets are clean too. Not a lot of storage space do for a night or two it s fine. Breakfast not worth the money. Location is ok too.
Really good for the price - booked it for the next day and a night only cost me £18. Decent location, within a 15 min walk of the very centre.
Bathroom was clean and modern and the room was really big compared to other 6 person dorms I've seen. There are lockers in the room (bring your own padlock).
Really appreciated the privacy curtains around the beds and the little shelf with a night light on top of the bed.
Only minor gripe I had was that the springs in the bed made a decent deal of noise when first settling on it, but overall the mattress was just fine to sleep on.
Fyi there is no kitchen - I didn't need one, but might be relevant for those who want to stay for longer!
Not an objectively bad hostel, just very bad for young back packers or travellers. Full of older men, no kitchen, luggage storage fees, little no fun atmosphere. Recommend if you just want cheap accom. But if you’re looking for a good hostel experience, please go elsewhere
Only a few min walk from a Train station. This was a good hostel staff helped when I needed help with things. Doesn't have a kitchen here but tons of places local worth visiting. Would recommend here
Great hostel and very affordable/competitively priced, considering todays rates. Welcoming and helpful staff. All beds have their own sockets and reading lights and have little curtains all around for increased privacy. A mystery to me why it gets an average rating, I would highly recommend this place!
It was fine. Double Bedroom and bathroom were basic for the amount of money I paid (£150 for two nights). It would have been nice to have a table or clothing rail to hang my clothes at, for example. The mattress was really flat, as was the …
